Case Study: Engineering the Evolution of HyperMec Mini Dumper Braking Systems

30 June 2026

On Wednesday, June 17, we were welcomed by Lorenzo Grosso, CEO and Owner, at the Hydro-Mec srl facility in Lessona (BI) to conduct a joint case study. Of particular interest to Vimoter is the HyperMec division, established in 2017 to bring renewed focus and continuity to the production of mini dumpers, a lineage that originally began in the 1970s. During our facility tour, we had the opportunity to observe some of the mechanical processes that define the company's heritage (cutting, bending, milling) and experienced the HyperMec vehicles firsthand. As Grosso explained, their true competitive advantage lies in compactness and lightweight design: their dumpers are approximately 25% lighter than the market average, yet they guarantee maximum stability thanks to a particularly low center of gravity and a highly resilient chassis.

PD008900 ELECTRIC CAP: The Evolution of the 12209 Model

18 May 2026

Just weeks after the launch of the 4x44/4x48 series, we are proud to introduce the new PD008900 electric cap. Engineered to elevate the reliability and robustness standards of its predecessor, the 12209 model, this new version is designed to excel even under severe operating conditions. New Features and Technical Advantages The system retains the reliable float-operated actuation with fixed-length rods (customizable during the design phase), a proven solution that ensures consistent, long-term accuracy. The key innovation lies in the electrical interface: the new model features an adjustable SuperSeal connector with IP67 protection, replacing the previous Faston terminals. This upgrade represents a major leap forward in quality: IP67 Protection Rating: Ensures complete sealing against dust ingress and temporary immersion in water. 360° Adjustability: Optimizes wiring harness layout, facilitating installation even in tight spaces (despite the slightly larger external dimensions required to house the new shielding).

A Case Study in Engineering Excellence: Vimoter & Evitalia

28 April 2026

One of the most significant partnerships consolidated over the past year is with Evitalia Srl. Founded in 2022 in Grumolo delle Abbadesse (Vicenza), the company entered the market with a robust and innovative proposition: a range of multi-purpose electric utility vehicles designed for maximum durability under heavy-duty conditions. The Evitalia vehicle stands out for its ability to operate on challenging terrain and steep gradients while maintaining a top speed of 80 km/h for road use. This unique combination of power and speed required a superior braking system, and that is where Vimoter came in. We strongly believe in Evitalia’s vision, and we were graciously welcomed by Mr. Carraro (Owner) and Paolo Buffo (Technical Manager) to conduct this case study and further strengthen our collaboration.

4x44/4x48 SERIES: The New Vimoter Brake Caliper

13 March 2026

In the heavy-duty application sector, reliability is not an option; it is the fundamental prerequisite for safety and operational efficiency. The most complex engineering challenge is ensuring high structural resistance without sacrificing braking modularity. From this research comes the 4x44 / 4x48 SERIES, completing the Vimoter brake caliper range. Materials Engineering and Structural Performance The use of EN-GJS-500-7 ductile iron ensures optimal mechanical characteristics, minimizing caliper body deformation under high operating pressures. This structural rigidity is essential for maintaining peak performance along with the durability of internal components. The 4-opposed-piston layout in chrome-plated steel (available in 44 mm or 48 mm diameters) has been engineered to maximize pressure distribution on the pads, ensuring an extremely modular system response and constant thermal stability during prolonged braking cycles.

Small Steps Towards a Greener Future

21 July 2025

For us at Vimoter, being a contemporary company means actively participating in the world around us, observing the challenges of our time, and offering concrete solutions. An area that increasingly requires everyone's attention, and one that Vimoter is determined to develop, is sustainability. Our primary aim is to reduce the ecological impact of our operations as much as possible. We've started by introducing a series of measures that, though small, can consistently make a real difference: Water and Plastic: We've introduced water dispensers and reusable bottles for our employees, drastically reducing the consumption of single-use plastic. Sustainable Mobility: Our new facility, inaugurated in October 2024, has been equipped with electric vehicle charging stations...
