Just weeks after the launch of the 4x44/4x48 series, we are proud to introduce the new PD008900 electric cap. Engineered to elevate the reliability and robustness standards of its predecessor, the 12209 model, this new version is designed to excel even under severe operating conditions.
New Features and Technical Advantages
The system retains the reliable float-operated actuation with fixed-length rods (customizable during the design phase), a proven solution that ensures consistent, long-term accuracy.
The key innovation lies in the electrical interface: the new model features an adjustable SuperSeal connector with IP67 protection, replacing the previous Faston terminals. This upgrade represents a major leap forward in quality:
- IP67 Protection Rating: Ensures complete sealing against dust ingress and temporary immersion in water.
- 360° Adjustability: Optimizes wiring harness layout, facilitating installation even in tight spaces (despite the slightly larger external dimensions required to house the new shielding).
Technical Specifications
Designed for seamless integration into latest-generation systems, the PD008900 cap combines reliable electrical performance with mounting flexibility. The system operates at a nominal voltage of 12V and is engineered to fit reservoirs with mating diameters of Ø40.5 mm and Ø44.5 mm. Secure and rapid fastening is ensured by a threaded interface with a 4-2 turn pitch, a solution specifically designed to guarantee an extremely tight seal while optimizing assembly line cycle times.
To ensure compatibility with various hydraulic fluids, the component is available in two distinct versions:
- Standard Version: Optimized for DOT-type brake fluid.
- PD008900M Model: Specifically designed for systems operating with mineral oil, easily identifiable by its distinctive green cap.
